Undergraduates may conduct honors thesis projects of research or scholarship under the mentorship of a thesis adviser, a faculty member of the student's choice whose area of expertise relates directly to the subject matter of the thesis.
Kolhe Lab postdoctoral fellows and technicians offer students opportunities to conduct projects with access to a variety of tissues and instrumentation through the Georgia Research Pathology Services.
Alicia Walker joined Kolhe Lab for the fall semester, 2025.
Sade Logan also joined the lab during her fall semester, 2025.
Kolhe Lab accepts applications for graduate lab assistantship (GLA) positions offered through the MS in Medical Physiology program. GLAs are paid positions that require 10-20 work hours per week outside of class sessions.
GLAs receive mentorship and hands-on training to carry out molecular laboratory workflows independently. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to develop practical lab skills while contributing to active research projects under the guidance of pathology faculty and staff.
MS students are eligible for GLA positions during the fall and spring semesters with applications due two months before the semester begins. Previous research or lab experience is not required; candidates are interviewed and selected based on general skills and personal attributes desirable for the laboratory.
